Jean Jackets from the 1600's

Submitted Wednesday, September 29, 2010 by adam | Category: Odd
Lifted from Kottke.org, "The word "denim" comes from "serge de Nîmes", a fabric made in Nîmes, France, and "blue jeans" comes from "Bleu de Genes", blue pants made in Genoa (aka Genes)." So a recent discovery of several paintings depicting people wearing the fabric is noteworthy.
