Y'know, as far as info-graphics go, this one is just shit! Honestly I'm not critiquing its actual design or font choices or something petty, I'm critiquing it's ability to make complex information easy to understand much the same way my Prius shows me all the green leaves I'm generating while coasting . . . However, there is nothing complex about what is being presented to the audience so WHY create an info-graphic?

This is the worst info-graphic of all time because I look at it and come away with one thought, the US spends $7.2k annually per person for healthcare . . . Well, as you can see, I just summed it up in less than 10 words and it's more impactful to me to read those 10 words than to see the concept graphed out in such great and useless detail the way it is presented in the link.

The problem for me is that while there is data being shown, it is not meaningful and while it's relative to other data shown, I cannot determine what the ideal is based on this graph so, I'm only left to compare results that range from US to Mexico and that again is not significantly important to further making the ONE point I so eloquently did in less than 10 words above . . .

I will take a moment to express Mr. Uberti has only been hired to render the data and he alone is not to blame so much as the flippin' dumbass who hired him for this job is who didn't have enough brainpower to express that he wanted the graph to make more than ONE point . . .

So, I shall make a dot matrix pixel graph expressing my feelings about this info-graphic. . . .

SHITTY INFO-GRAPHIC (100% Complete Shit) ************************************************************

NO GRAPH (0% Shit)

As you can clearly see, SHITTY INFO-GRAPHIC is clearly shittier than NO GRAPH . . .

Note to all viewers: Brevity Good! (See! I didn't even need the word 'is') - So, don't spend tons of time and effort doing what can be done minimally and more demonstratively. . .

S'pose I couldn't spent less time and written a shorter message . . .

HAHA, No Graph (0% Shit) awesome!

While I agree this graph isn't the most clear in it's message, I thought it was interesting to compare the average number of doctor visits someone in the United States makes, how much they spent, and what the eventual outcome of that spending is.

I will also concede that "life expectancy" is maybe not the perfect measure of an effective health care system, but it does shed light on what are you getting for your money. Less visits and a shorter life span than your average citizen of Portugal.

Basically, for the world's highest health care spend (nearly triple the average), the US gets an average of zero doctor visits per year, and a below average life expectancy.
